A straight 40-mile drive down highway 101 to San Francisco and other Bay Area attractions makes this an ideal location. Our historic, four-story hotel provides cozy, European-style lodgings in charming downtown Petaluma. Just steps from our front door you will find eclectic shopping, dining from “fun” to “fine”, wine tasting, and entertainment. Established in 1923, the Hotel Petaluma is home to the oldest functioning traction elevator in Petaluma and is next door to the historic granary. The Petaluma River with its picturesque foot bridge are a block from the hotel. Just a short walk away are the famous A Street historic district, and Oak Hill neighborhood which are both full of beautiful Victorian homes.
